I'm trying to catch up on listening to some albums I've missed over the past few years during the trip and kicked off with Suck it and See by the Arctic Monkeys, Brick by Brick seemed a suitable anthem for flight 1 of 19, although taking off from Heathrow to "She's Thundestorms" in the April sun was somewhat less fitting.



The flight passed without a hitch, the flight time was only around 45 minutes and yet there was a small meal service of a few sandwiches and a date scone with clotted cream and jam. Needelss to say my food rejection mission failed at the first flight.

The chap sat next to me was in BA dress code and it transpired that he was a 777 pilot returning home to Belgium after a long haul. Had a chat to him about wind patterns and flight paths which passed some time nicely. Through security and off to the Finnair check in desk where they printed my next 3 boarding passes so in theory I should be able to get to JFK without needing to check in again.
